Check out the new version of the Excel file to keep track of your soccer betting and know everything about your betting during the season.
By now it is time to get ready for the new season, because as early as the end of August the scoreboard will return to offer the first Natural Predictions of the 2022/23 championships.
Yeah, because as is now known, this year the start is earlier than usual, due to the presence of the World Cup in Qatar.
And so this summer the English will not be so the only ones to have fun with the league already during the classic vacation period, it will be everyone’s turn, and I believe that for soccer and betting fans it can prove to be an enjoyable and entertaining experience.
Between now and the end of August, we still have several items to address on our way to the new season. One of those that I particularly care about is definitely the presentation of the new Bet Tracking 2022/23 file.
I have been updating this Excel file for a few years now, which is useful for those who want to keep track of their soccer betting performance at all times .
I have already written several articles and made videos to emphasize how important it is to keep track of the bets placed, in this post I will devote myself exclusively to presenting the new file.
How to enter the data correctly, what formulas and automations I have added or improved, and anything else I can use to benefit from this fundamental aspect of betting.
The new Bet Tracking 2022/23 V1 file now has three sheets: one for main data entry, the second for the bubble type attribution calculation , relative performance and squaring, and the third with the graph to get the glimpse of the trend over time.
Keeping track of one’s betting requires consistency and punctuality in data entry, otherwise it will result in a skewed situation that can be useless, when not downright harmful.
It is certainly a commitment, but for those who are passionate about betting or for those who aspire to raise their level , it is an enjoyable activity, even quite a bit when entering winnings data.
Clearly, adding negative numbers can’t be fun, but you know that, over the course of a season, there are always bad days as well.
All the more reason why, at precisely these times, it is super important to be able to look at the file to try to figure out what is wrong. There are numerous aspects that may need optimization. For example, there is an insistence on a bubble type that does not bring concrete results. Or there may be something to review in the amounts wagered. Or in the total volume of play or frequency.
Without a betting tracking file, it is really very complicated to be able to understand what is wrong so that you can intervene and correct your shot.
On the contrary, being diligent and consistent in entering data accurately allows you to consult a compass at all times to set a course for your soccer betting season.
Please note!
- This is not a file for calculating odds, odds, etc., but a file for keeping track of the progress of your already made and completed bets.
- I use Google sheets and export the Excel file , which should keep everything properly formatted, including formulas.
- The three sheets provide formulas and conditional formatting in cells that are not locked, because some elasticity is needed for data entry, but be careful with formulas.
Functionality Sheet 1, ‘202223’
The first sheet named ‘202223’ is generally dedicated to data entry and the daily (or your betting time frequency) calculation of the outcome with partials at the end of the month.
Let’s look in detail at what the various columns, in order of appearance from left to right, included in this Bet Tracking file sheet consist of.
- Numbering, because I want to know how many bets I placed.
- Date you placed the bet.
Suggestion. If you want to enter two bets from the same day, use two rows with the same day.
Suggestion. The cell is already formatted to accommodate a date, you can then drag down to get the next days automatically or manually enter for example just ’22/7′ to get ‘Friday, July 22, 2022’. I usually bold Saturdays and Sundays. - Type of bubble. Warning. The “code” of the correct bubble type must be entered for the calculations to work (we see them on the second sheet).
- Balance updated, already deducted from the bet made on the same day. Warning. This column has two conditions that automatically determine the color. Red if equal to or less than zero, green if greater than zero.
- Amount of bet placed.
- Value of the outcome of the bet. Warning. This column has three conditions that automatically determine the color. Red if equal to zero. Orange if greater than zero and equal to or less than the bet amount. Green if greater than the bet amount.
- Outcome, that is, how many predictions I entered in the bet are winning results compared to the total. Warning. As with the bubble type, the correct coding must be used for the outcome to allow for the relevant calculations (we also see this in the second sheet).
- Live, coding to define that it is a bet played in live betting.
- Notes, free field for any details. For example: 3 players ejected, game suspended, bubble blown in the 90th, etc..
Amount, Win, Net, Trend. These are columns to be used to define the daily or monthly total of bets.
For example, if you had played 3 bets on the same day, on the third line you can add the sum with the total values for the amount played, won and its difference and updated trend.
At the end of the month it may be interesting to apply the same calculation to find out the value on a monthly basis.
Warning. Net and Trend have two conditions that automatically determine the color. Red if equal to or less than zero, green if greater than zero.
Functionality Sheet 2, ‘Counting’
The second sheet called ‘Counting’ aims to calculate the data entered and return the result of our soccer betting in different aspects.
At the top are all types of soccer bubbles, from the legendary SuperMultiple9 to doubling. I have put quite a few but obviously only those used will populate.
All calculations, as anticipated in Sheet 1, depend on the correct entry of the bubble codes, which are basically all the ones you see as column headings.
So for example ‘SM9’ or ‘SMQA9’. To make sure you write them correctly you can select the cell and copy its text value.
Partial, Count and Win, once you populate sheet 1, return very important information, namely the count of how many of the predictions entered on the bubble turned out to be correct and the amount recovered or won.
In practice you will always be able to know, for example: how fruity a type of bubble you had, how many mistakes you made (1 out of 3, 3 out of 5, 1 out of 2, etc.). To better understand this feature I recommend you watch the video here in the post.
Under each “block” of bubble type is the calculation with the total amount of what is played and won and its percentage profitability ratio. That is, whether this bubble type is currently profitable to play.
Warning. Also in these cells the color is automatically formatted. Red when the percentage is below 80%, orange between 81 and 99%, green above 99%.
You can certainly customize the values of these conditions, the concept is that, in my opinion, below 80% the figure is negative. Between 81 and 99 it’s not all bad so it might be worthwhile to keep playing this bubble, above it’s green so it’s definitely worth betting.
Clearly, particularly in the case of system bubbles, a single win can overturn this concept, so keep this in mind with a minimum of elasticity in this regard.
The values of all types of bubbles added together are calculated just below in the ‘Totals’ space in red how much was played and in green of course how much was cashed in.
Below these values are a series of cells with formulas in gray that are used to check the square between what you entered in sheet 1 as amounts and winnings and what is, as a result, calculated in this sheet.
In case you see a non-zero value in the last line, you probably entered wrong amounts or more easily some wrong code for the type of bills.
The last type of bubble is useful for knowing the profitability of bets played in live betting. This is something that, for now, I have added as a general definition and does not take into account the bubble type, but I will see how to detail this aspect as well. Warning. This type of bubble does not contribute to the sum of the totals because, precisely, it is only a general definition for knowing how much the whole game in live was worth in total.
Functionality Sheet 3, ‘Chart’
In the third and final sheet called ‘Chart’ is the already configured chart for the entire time frame of the season that returns to us in visual form the line of our betting performance.
On the horizontal axis (X) the days entered in sheet 1 and on the vertical axis (Y) the value of the balance for each day.
During the season maybe at the beginning, you may be below the zero line, the important thing is to always keep an eye on all the values and also on the graph to immediately have a pulse on how far you are moving from the break-even point into negative or positive.
Another detail I can suggest is the verticality and horizontality of the line, for example between months, which shows us how quickly we may have gone up or down relative to the time indicated. If you won a SuperMultipleQuoteAlte you would see the graph go up like a pole, as they say, to the moon.
I think I have explained to you all the workings of the new version of the file to track your betting, as you see it is nothing earth-shattering however not so trivial either. It is the result of reasoning coming from all over last season, not so much or not only because of the formulas inserted, so much because of the conception of “what I care to know.”
For this reason I believe it has value but I am not interested in selling it, as I have stated before, however, from this year I have decided to make it available only to those who make at least one subscription to the platform and who therefore appreciate and support the Natural Predictions project.
The file will be available in your profile after you first sign up for the platform. As of the date I write we are making this change on the platform, so don’t worry if you don’t see it right away, because the download link will appear soon.
For any suggestions on the next Bet Tracking file for next season. send me a message and I will be happy to add other valuable and useful updates.
Now let’s get back to preparing for the upcoming championships to try to fill our Bet Tracking file with beautiful numbers and lots of green!
From the Bet Bunker that’s all for now, a greeting,
Stephen
