1 Why bet tracking is the first step to improving your betting.
Tracking bets means gaining awareness and control over your betting. A constantly updated file allows you to have precise data at hand and helps you understand which plays create value , which drain money, when and how you lose , and therefore intervene to correct the shot.
Bet Tracking forces you to look your performance in the face. A series of wins or losses takes on a different meaning when it is written in black and white, with odds, amounts, outcomes and numbers clearly visible.
Filling out the Excel file on time is challenging , time consuming and above all requires consistency. In short: it’s a pain. The prize for tracking bets has a unique value, it catapults you into investment mode .
It takes away the sense of urgency of “catching up” but you can quickly see the actions taken to correct bad habits and, day after day, you can build a much more stable and sustainable approach over time.
Every choice becomes part of a larger design. Whether you bet for real or in demo and test mode , the file remains essential to train your reasoning, maintain control and make increasingly clear and objective decisions.
2 What’s new in version 2025/26: what’s changing and why.
The 2025/26 version of the Bet Tracking Excel file introduces some concrete innovations born from direct experience and feedback collected in the last season.
The most relevant update is the possibility to track the cash out: no more Hamletic doubts , find out if the bets closed before the deadline brought you more earnings or losses and to what extent.
Cash out is already a dynamic to be considered central, a double-edged sword for many bettors, which directly affects the results and therefore deserved a specific calculation in Bet Tracking.
In addition to cash out, I have optimized some visual and functional details : improved management of bet types, new support columns, improved formulas in summary sheets and greater precision in automatic counts.
The goal is always the same: to provide a free but solid tool , to help you think technically about your betting and carry on a season with method, while waiting to have Bet Tracking directly on the platform.
3 General overview of the file: structure, internal sheets and logic.
The Excel Bet Tracking 2025/26 file is structured to be used throughout the season and does not require any particular technical expertise , just a little precision, consistency and good will.
The file is composed of three sheets for: betting data entry, automatic counting of results and summary statistics, trend graph.
In the “202526” sheet, enter all the bets of the season. Each row corresponds to a bet, but you can copy and paste blocks with multiple rows in the case of multiple bets on the same day. You need to enter some data, while others are already set with formulas to value the cells.
The “Count” sheet automatically summarizes the total trend divided by type of play with related data. It also offers the details of live betting, in case you use it, and of course cashout with various useful insights.
Even in the “Count” sheet I have pre-set several formulas and conditional formatting that we will explore in more detail later.
The “Graph” sheet shows the visual trend of the balance. It is already directly connected to the “202526” sheet and does not require any action . You just need to fill in the file consistently to view the curve of your betting over time.
4 How to place bets day by day.
For a practical and detailed guide to entering data into the Excel Bet Tracking file, I recommend you watch the video tutorials. In the meantime, I will give you a preview of some features and procedures.
- Column Num – Already set up to row 3,000, depends on your betting volume but should already be more than enough for the whole season.
- Bubble – This is the “code” of the type of bubble played, for example X3 (multiple X3), SM9 (SuperMultiple9), etc.
- Balance – Updates automatically, just copy and paste or drag (if you occasionally see some numbers that don’t add up, it might be useful to go back a bit in time and drag the balance column, you might lose the formula and therefore the correct value).
- Amount – Obviously the amount of the bubble played.
- Win – No explanation needed, let’s just hope they are high and frequent!
- Result – It is essential to maintain consistency in the subdivision of the typologies in the “Count” sheet.
- CashOut – Code “CashOutYes” if you took the cash out and the bet actually turned out to be a loser. Code “CashOutNo” the opposite, you took the cash out but in vain and therefore you left, little or much, something to the bookmaker.
- Potential Win – How much the bet would have won. You can get it from the bookmaker or do a quick calculation (like X3 is the amount played multiplied by 3).
- Delta CashOut – How much you earned or left on the table.
- Notes – Free field but I suggest you always use it consistently, that is, keep it coded, for example with specifications such as: Serie A only, 90° Penalty, 2 Expulsions, Multiple Lines of 5, 6, etc.. Some info that will help you keep track of some other particular details.
- For Amount , Winnings , Net , Trend , Performance there are easily imaginable formulas, which I explain in detail in the video tutorial.
I removed the automatic formatting for the green, orange, red text colors that respectively indicate win, recovery or equal balance, loss, because they were more of an obstacle than a convenience in duplicating lines.
As for me, I always keep these colors and apply them manually , the important and fundamental aspect is to keep the formulas the same in all the lines of the games and the balancing of the accounts.
5 Entering results and live betting.
As for the “Outcome” field, Bet Tracking has formulas set up to count the various results of your bets, but it is necessary to keep the formats visible in the “Count” sheet and which has the following coding.
BubbleCode-WinningPredictionsNumber/PlayedPredictionsNumber
Practical example easier to do. You have made a Multiple X3 with 2 out of 3 winning predictions. Enter 0 in red in the “Win” field and as the outcome X3-2/3 .
In the “Count” sheet there are already many outcomes but you can add more if necessary. For all the multiples in the system there are already all the possible ones, on the multiples it is sufficient to drag the three reference cells down and, if necessary, change the outcome values.
For example from:
X10-1/4 0 €0.00
I think:
X10-4/5 0 €0.00
X10-3/7 0 €0,00
As for the tracking of live bets , just use the same encoding, for both the “Bubble” and “Outcome” fields with the prefix “LIVE-” . For example: in “Bubble” enter LIVE-X3 and in “Outcome” LIVE-X3-2/3 .
If you wish, you can also keep track of bonuses , very simple: enter the BONUS code with the amount played at 0 in both the “Bubble” and “Result” fields and the value of the bonus in “Win”.
6 Tracking Cash Out: Method, Logic and Automatic Calculation.
Cash out management is one of the most important innovations introduced in Bet Tracking 2025/26. In the file you can easily manage this dynamic by using the two specific codes in the “CashOut” column, already described above, CashOutSi and CashOutNo.
The file allows you to analyze the real effectiveness of your early closures . The “Delta CashOut” field automatically calculates how much you have earned or left on the table compared to the potential win. Simply enter the amount collected and the potential theoretical win: the file already has the formulas to perform the calculation.
In the “Count” sheet you will find a dedicated section for monitoring CashOutYes and CashOutNo cases, useful for understanding the impact they have had so far on the progress of your football betting.
If you have a negative balance, you probably used the cash out in a wrong or impulsive way. On the contrary, a positive balance confirms that you used this opportunity strategically .
- Total Win – Sum of all actual wins and those collected through cash outs (CashOutSi only).
- Total Potential – Sum of theoretical winnings you would have collected if you had not cashed out (CashOutNo only).
- Actual CashOutNo win with cashout< 50% of Potential – Sum of amounts collected with early cash out (CashOutNo) in which you have taken less than half of the potential winnings.
- CashOutNo Total Delta – Difference between how much you could have won and how much you actually collected in CashOutNo, measures how much you “gave away” to the bookmaker.
- CashOutNo Lost Percentage – Average percentage of value lost over potential in CashOutNo cases.
- Average CashOutNo Win – Average value collected in CashOutNo, useful for understanding how “satisfied” you are when you close a game early.
7 Visual Alerts: How to Interpret the Signals in Your File.
In the “Count” sheet I have inserted some conditional formatting that works as a quick visual warning to immediately identify which types of bets have a positive, neutral (draw) or negative balance.
In the video I show you how to customize these values according to your preferences. In practice, when the cells of the net between amounts played and won (on row 22, it already has the formula inserted) satisfies some criteria , the background where the name of the type of bet appears is colored as indicated below.
- At zero it remains black (default).
- Greater than zero, green.
- Between -1 and -50, orange.
- Between -51 and -100, red.
8 Next steps: Bet Tracking integrated into the platform.
The Excel file remains a solid foundation, but the real leap in quality will come with the Bet Tracking integrated into the Natural Predictions platform.
